The Van-Nes Family has served the Lord as Independent Fundamental Baptist Church planters since 1976. Marvin Van Nes was born and raised in Hudson Bay, Saskatchewan, CANADA. He came to know the Lord as personal Saviour at the age of six. God called him to preach at the age of twelve. Marvin (1975) and Judy (1976) are graduates of Maranatha Baptist Bible College, Watertown, WI. The Van Nes' have started five ministries in Saskatchewan and Alberta, Canada. A goodly number of individuals have been saved Baptized and discipled for the Lord. Fundamental Independent Baptist Churches have been established. The Van-Nes' are now seeking to raise support to return to Canada and establish, an Indigenous New Testament Deaf Baptist Church, in Western Canada. The Van-Nes’ have three grown daughters. All are actively serving the Lord in Fundamental Baptist Churches.

The Van-Nes' would count it an honour to visit your church and to share their burden and ministry with the people. Indeed, we anticipate the opportunity to share our burden for DEAF Church Planting in Canada with you. Our prayer is that we will be profitable servants in the mission’s outreach of your church.

We want to reproduce Churches, among The Deaf, that are loyal to: 1) The Word of God [Rejecting the use of all pseudo-bibles] 2) Conservative God honouring Music 3) Separation unto the Lord in Dress, Daily Conversation and Conduct. 4) Providing ministry opportunity for the Deaf to grow and mature to Soul Winners, Sunday School Teachers, Deacons, Pastors and Missionaries. 5) This is a church where SIGN is the first language of the church and voice interpretation for the hearing loved ones of the Deaf.

In August of 2005 God allowed us to be an important part in seeing a Deaf Baptist Church get started in Franklin, Indiana, where we presently make our home. We are at present very active in that young church. We attend there when ever we are at home and not on the road doing deputation. Marvin also takes the services for the deaf church when Pastor Pete Leclerc is away.
